Chamber Choir "Vox Animae" was founded in 2008 by conductor Sindija Druva, and this year it celebrates the 10th anniversary. Driven and inspired by great music, "Vox Animae" prepares various programs, organizes concerts and travels to festivals. The choir has produced various concert shows in collaboration with different musicians, choreographers and visual artists exploring exciting ways to reveal the message of music. Significant part of the repertoire is contemporary music, often written by Latvian composers, but also sacred music from various periods. "Vox Animae" has gained remarkable results in competitions, most recently achieving 1st place in Chamber choir category and qualifying for Grand Prix competition in International Festival for Academic Choirs "IFAS 2016" in Czech Republic.

Sindija Druva (1983) has graduated from Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (2007) and currently she is the artistic director of Chamber Choir "Vox Animae", Female Choir "Jumala" and Mixed Choir "Maldugunis". Ms. Druva has initiated and created many musical projects. Leading Chamber Choir "Vox Animae" Sindija Druva has gained 12 awards in international competitions. Ms. Druva has sung in world famous State Choir "Latvija" led by brilliant Māris Sirmais, vocal group "Putni" and in one of the best European amateur collectives - Youth Choir "Balsis".

The choir is based in Riga, the capital of Latvia - country that is famous with their choral singing traditions and this year it celebrates it’s centenary. Riga is more than 800 years old, captivating renown opera house, splendid art nouveau architecture and medieval churches.
