“Balkanski” choir is a vocal ensemble, founded in 2010 in Nova Zagora, Bulgaria, by the Minu Balkanski Foundation. The main aims of the Foundation are education, culture and civic society.

The repertoire consists of a wide variety of styles and genres, including epochs of renaissance, classic, romantics, modern music, church, folklore and national songs.

From the time of its creation the choir has participated in several choral events – “Harmony” International Choral Festival – Harmanli, Fests of Spiritual Music – Gabrovo, Christmas Singing Festival – Stara Zagora. The choir also worked with different Bulgarian conductors, together with famous soloists and instrumentalists.

The conductor of the choir is Mladen Stanev. The choir brings together the best singers in the region of Nova Zagora and surrounding villages, and they try to keep and develop choral traditions and to promote classical music by performing in the town regularly.

Nova Zagora is a town located in the southeastern plains of Bulgaria in Sliven Province. It is the administrative centre of Nova Zagora Municipality.
