The "Renaissance" (Vozrozhdeniye) choir was founded 20 years ago. The restoration of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour was a powerful spur to its foundation. The choir started functioning at the 1st international festival "The Main Cathedral of My City" which was devoted to the opening of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.

The career of the "Renaissance" (Vozrozhdeniye) choir began with performing pieces of sacred music. The choir was founded in order to restore the traditions of the Russian singing culture. The name of the choir is symbolic - "Renaissance". Nowadays the choir performs classical, sacred and folk a capella music by Russian and foreign composers.

The choir is a laureate and a prize-winner of international competitions and festivals in Austria, Holland, Germany, Italy, Estonia and Spain. The "Renaissance" (Vozrozhdeniye) is an amateur choir. The age of its members ranges from 10 to 55 years old.

The conductor of the choir, Marina Kuznetsova, is a highly qualified mentor, musician with 35-year experience including 10 years of working abroad. Marina Kuznetsova is a graduate of the Gnesins Russian Academy and a holder of the Deutsche Management Akademie Niedersachsen certificate.
